Orders & Shipping
Standard delivery takes 2-3 working days within the UK. Express delivery (next working day) is available for orders placed before 2pm. We dispatch from our London warehouse Monday to Friday.
Yes. All UK orders over £50 qualify for free standard delivery. Orders under £50 incur a flat £3.95 shipping charge. Express delivery is £5.95 regardless of order value.
You can modify or cancel your order within 1 hour of placing it by contacting us at hello@botanica.co.uk. Once an order has been dispatched, we are unable to make changes, but you can return it under our 90-day returns policy.
We currently ship to the UK and EU countries. EU delivery takes 5-7 working days. International shipping outside the EU is not yet available, but we are working on expanding. Customs duties may apply for EU orders.
We offer a 90-day returns policy on all unopened products. If you have opened and tried a product but it is not right for your skin, contact us within 30 days and we will arrange a return or exchange. We cover return postage for faulty items.
Products & Ingredients
Yes. Every Botanica product is 100% vegan. We do not use any animal-derived ingredients, including beeswax, lanolin, carmine, or collagen. All products carry our Certified Vegan badge.
Absolutely not. Botanica is certified cruelty-free. We do not test on animals at any stage of product development, and we require the same commitment from all our ingredient suppliers. We are Leaping Bunny certified.
Each product page lists the skin types and concerns it addresses. Our Journal also has guides for building routines based on your skin type. For personalised advice, email us at hello@botanica.co.uk and our skincare team will recommend a routine.
Yes, you can layer serums — apply thinnest to thickest consistency. For example, the Niacinamide Serum layers well under the Hyaluronic Hydration Serum. However, we recommend limiting your routine to 2-3 serums to avoid overloading the skin. Avoid using Vitamin C and strong acids in the same routine.
It means the product has undergone independent clinical trials with human participants under dermatological supervision. We publish the methodology, sample size, and results for each claim. We never test on animals and never use computer-simulated results.
Most Botanica products are pregnancy-safe, including the Bakuchiol Renewal Serum (Bakuchiol is a safe retinol alternative during pregnancy). We recommend avoiding the AHA Brightening Mask during pregnancy. If in doubt, consult your healthcare provider.
Skin Concerns
We recommend the 10% Niacinamide Serum to regulate sebum and minimise pores, the Lightweight Gel Cream for oil-free hydration, and the Daily Defence SPF 30. Avoid heavy balm cleansers — use the Gentle Botanical Cleanser instead. The AHA Brightening Mask can be used weekly to clear congestion.
Start with the Gentle Botanical Cleanser and the Barrier Repair Moisturiser. These two products focus on strengthening the skin barrier without introducing potentially irritating actives. Once your barrier is healthy (typically 2-4 weeks), you can introduce the Bakuchiol Renewal Serum — it is one of the gentlest anti-aging actives available.
AM: Gentle Botanical Cleanser, Vitamin C Brightening Serum, Barrier Repair Moisturiser, Daily Defence SPF 30. PM: Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Bakuchiol Renewal Serum, Ceramide Eye Cream, Barrier Repair Moisturiser. Add the AHA Brightening Mask once weekly.
The Vitamin C Brightening Serum is your daily treatment — it inhibits melanin production and fades existing dark spots. The AHA Brightening Mask accelerates cell turnover weekly. Most importantly, the Daily Defence SPF 30 prevents new spots from forming. Expect visible improvement in 6-8 weeks with consistent use.
Tightness after cleansing usually means the cleanser is too harsh for your skin type. Switch to the Gentle Botanical Cleanser if you are not already using it. Apply the Hyaluronic Hydration Serum to damp skin immediately after cleansing (within 60 seconds), then seal with the Barrier Repair Moisturiser.
Sustainability
Carbon neutral means we measure all carbon emissions from our operations (Scope 1, 2, and 3), reduce them wherever possible, and offset the remainder through verified reforestation projects and direct air capture. We have been certified carbon neutral since 2021 and publish an annual carbon report.
Glass bottles: rinse and recycle with glass. Aluminium caps: recycle with metals. Paper boxes: recycle with paper and card. Pump mechanisms: remove, rinse, and recycle with plastics (where local facilities accept PP5). We are working to eliminate pump mechanisms entirely by 2027.
Yes. The Barrier Repair Moisturiser, Lightweight Gel Cream, and Nourishing Cleansing Balm are all available as refill pouches. Refill pouches use 80% less material than the original glass packaging. Simply decant into your existing jar and recycle the pouch with soft plastics.
Primary containers are amber glass (100% post-consumer recycled). Caps are aluminium. Outer boxes are FSC-certified recycled card printed with soy-based inks. We use no virgin plastic in any of our packaging. Shipping materials are recyclable or compostable.
Our refill programme lets you repurchase select products in lightweight pouches at a reduced price. You keep the original glass bottle and simply refill it. Available for the Barrier Repair Moisturiser, Lightweight Gel Cream, and Nourishing Cleansing Balm. We are expanding the programme to serums in 2026.

Click the account icon in the top navigation and select 'Create Account'. You will need an email address and a password. Creating an account allows you to track orders, save your routine, and reorder easily.
Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page and enter your email address. We will send a reset link that expires after 24 hours. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us at hello@botanica.co.uk.
Not yet, but we are launching a subscription service in spring 2026. You will be able to set delivery intervals of 4, 6, or 8 weeks for your regular products, with a 10% discount on every subscription order.
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking link from Royal Mail or DPD. You can also view your order status by logging into your account and visiting the 'Orders' section.
